How to Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 with Pangu

NEW JAILBREAK iOS 7.1.2 WITH PANGU FOR iPad/iPad Air, iPad mini, iPhone 5s/5c/5, iPhone 4s/4 y iPod Touch.

This new jailbreak from Pangu has been touted by the jailbreak community as completely legitimate and safe to install, although there are a couple of things that you’ll have to do differently this time around, and the jailbreak requires a few more steps than Evasi0n’s process. Still, this will give you an iOS 7.1.2 jailbreak, so there’s not much to complain about. The team behind Pangu has confirmed that this is not the case, and that Apple has yet to discover the method used by the jailbreak tool. As a result users can upgrade to iOS 7.1.2 and gain the benefits of the bug-fix release while also retaining the ability to jailbreak. Users are warned thata any current jailbreak will be lost when the update is installed and will need to be reapplied using the Pangu utility.


  • Pangu 8 untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1, iOS 7.1.1, and iOS 7.1.2. Your device must be running one of this firmware.
  • Pangu is available for both Windows and Mac OS X.
  • Pangu supports following iOS 7.1-7.1.2 running devices:
  • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4
  • iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
  • iPad mini, Retina iPad mini

  • Disable the passcode before trying the jailbreak. (Settings > General > Passcode Lock – turn if OFF).
  • Backup your personal data via iTunes or iCloud before proceeding.
  • Jailbreaking voids your warranty, so proceed as your own risk.

Jailbreak the iPhone | iPad | iPod Touch

1. Download pangu and extract it to your desktop.
2. Double click the Pangu .exe file to open it (or the .dmg file then the file inside the new folder that appears for Mac users).
3. Uncheck the box below the progress bar  in Pangu (this stops it from installing other third-party software on the device).
4. Click the Jailbreak Button on the right side of the program.
5. When the progress bar gets about halfway, you’ll notice a Pangu app now on the device, tap it to complete the installation.
6. After another 10 minutes or so it’ll be done (and reboot a few times in the process) and you’ll see Cydia on your iPhone.
